Venue: Protein Studios, Shoreditch
The Creativepool 2017 Annual Launch Party is an exclusive gathering of talented individuals and creative agencies, a celebration of the creative industry in the UK. Not just another Annual Launch Party but also with awards too! Love photographing awards, always such a great atmosphere with ecstatic people.
I’d never been to Protein Studios in Shoreditch, London, but was pleasantly surprised at its compact well lit split room design. Photography started when guests arrived, greeted with a glass of prosecco, and canapes. My camera was happy enough and found everybody enjoying a relaxed atmosphere.
The coveted Gold Annual awards were presented on stage to the winners by a host of a familiar ensemble from the local Shoreditch creative scene. What I think made the presentation great at this event was the fact it was 1. A stylish annual 2. Everyone was very high spirited 3. There was a massive projection of each of the winners artwork as they came to collect.
The event covered 27 Annual categories and 9 Award categories, totalling around 100 winners!
As with all my awards photography images were swiftly edited and uploaded for client collection for the next morning PR campaign.
Venue: Altitude, Millbank, London
I was recently photographing a Quickbooks seminar event at Altitude, Millbank (great views of London). I’ve photographed events at this venue many times before and interestingly the graphics on display really stood out. The usual graphics you would typically find at most events featured as usual – stage graphics, pop-up banners and wall stickers.
Although each of these areas had a very different look and feel and the production company Vinyl Impressions had a fantastic array of designs showcasing what they could produce for such a large commercial event, whilst ensuring the branding was unified. They decked 3 levels, which were split into the conference area on the ground floor, the workshops and seminars on the top 2 floors.
Vinyl Impressions worked closely with the creative agency involved to complete all of the design work whilst working in close collaboration with their own in house team to ensure that the final product would meet the specification requested. As experienced creative event graphics designers they were able to advise and offer creative solutions, such as the cut foamex blimp and clouds to create a design feature that the Quickbooks team had envisioned.
Following the event their installers returned to site to de-rig the venue and repackage the applicable reusable graphics for Quickbooks to transport to Birmingham for their next event.

The Kensington Close Hotel went through a recent transformation, becoming a franchise of Holiday Inn. As part of the upgrade they needed some new interior photos showcasing the new look which included a bedrooms/en-suits, catering shots, branding and the new on-site Starbucks.
